CANADA LAUNCH CAMPAIGN
THE BRIEF
Vinted is an online platform that allows its users to sell, buy and swap second-hand clothing online. They’re massively popular in Europe, and wanted to expand into Canada with a series of TV spots. Vinted has a formula for their ads; they do the same scripts in each new country, but filter it through that particular country’s character and sensibility. It was our job to cook their recipe and add that Canadian flavour to make the ads feel uniquely ‘us’.
THE Videos
You can’t have a true Canadian flavour without including our neighbours in Quebec, which meant every commercial had to be shot twice, in English and French. We shot 8 commercials over 4 busy days. Each location was set-decorated completely from scratch to create a gorgeous, colourful bedroom filled with beautiful clothes and accessories. (And no, the actors and crew didn’t get to keep any of it.)
THE OUTCOME
Vinted took off like wildfire in Canada, with tens of thousands of downloads across the country (where the commercials played frequently on national TV). They’ve got nearly 6,000 reviews on the App Store, where they are currently ranked #14 in Lifestyle over a year since launching.
Social Media Versions
On top of shooting the commercials twice in English and French, we also shot several shorter versions for social media, which had their own separate scripts. See below for two of the other English videos we shot, and one of the French!
